A 10 HP, 1533 lb wide-belt is not a garage tool for most people. It is listed so you can see what it takes: a 50 A circuit and a freight dock.

"Operator room" keeps 36 in clear around the machine, and "stored" drops that zone, for a machine you roll out only when the car is gone. Both leave a 24 in apron in front of the overhead door and a 30 in walk-around beside any parked sedan. In a 12 x 20 ft garage with a car inside, this machine has to be stored elsewhere.

It draws 50 A at 240V (listing), so a 70 A breaker with 4 AWG copper covers the 125 percent rule. On NEC table amps for 10 HP the circuit comes out to a 70 A breaker and 4 AWG copper over a 30 ft run. A licensed electrician confirms the circuit before you wire.
